ABOUT 

Tyger was born on January 9, 2000 in Cedar Rapids Iowa to Tony and Jennifer Campbell.  Named "Tyger" mainly due to the family theme being to name their children with "T" names; His oldest brother Teyshawn and older sister Teeyha. 

 

His name was slated to be just Ty, but then it evolved into Tyger due to it being a cooler athlete's name. His parents were also watching Tiger Woods win the Mercedes Benz Championship at the time of his birth!

As Tyger grew, his  reputation as a basketball prodigy began to show at an early age.  He began to stand out to prominent coaches and scouts and became touted as a phenom.

He is now on his way to continuing that trend at UCLA and beyond.
